In honor of World Forest Day 2025, Hirujaya Plantation (Pvt) Ltd has proudly partnered with the Department of Posts – Sri Lanka to release a special commemorative stamp on March 21, 2025. This meaningful initiative highlights Hirujaya’s ongoing efforts to protect and revive threatened sandalwood plantations across Sri Lanka.
As global deforestation continues to rise, the need for sustainable forest management has never been more critical. Sandalwood, one of the most valuable and endangered tree species, has long been under threat due to illegal logging and environmental degradation. In response, Hirujaya Plantation has taken the lead in reviving these precious resources through ethical, sustainable cultivation practices.

This stamp release is more than just a symbolic gesture—it represents a national call to action for forest conservation and serves as a proud moment for both Hirujaya and the country. It acknowledges the importance of preserving native forests, protecting biodiversity, and raising awareness about the environmental threats we face.
By aligning this event with World Forest Day, the message is loud and clear: protecting our forests is not just an environmental duty but a collective responsibility. Hirujaya Plantation’s vision goes beyond commercial value; it is about safeguarding natural heritage for future generations.
The special stamp is a tribute to Sri Lanka’s commitment to sustainability and reflects Hirujaya’s leadership in promoting green innovation and plantation ethics. Together with Sri Lanka Post, this initiative inspires individuals, businesses, and institutions to be part of the change.
Let this moment mark a renewed pledge to our forests, our environment, and our shared future.
